History:
Liam was born and raised in Bridgeport in a low income family. He managed to go to a university in a neighboring city on a full scholarship. When he returned with his bachelor’s degree he set about getting himself a PI license and set up shop.
Not very long after starting his career he met a young woman named Deirdre Cooney and fell in love hard. Then one day things turned sour. An old man living in their apartment complex had been brutally murdered. Liam picked up the case from the old man’s hospice nurse. To his surprise, Deirdre confessed to Liam later that night that she knew who had killed the old man. It had been her brother who was afflicted with lycanthropy as was she. Deirdre told him the tale about how she and her brother had been former monster hunters before they were both attacked by a werewolf. She retired to lead as normal a life she could, but her brother gave in to his primal instincts and began killing innocent people. Deirdre decided that there was no other way to stop him now than to kill him.
After much persuasion Liam agreed to help Deirdre kill her brother. She would capture her brother while Liam procured and blessed the silver bullets needed to kill the murderer. In his search Liam met and liberated a selkie named Undine from her abusive husband, and also solved a riddle from a dead priest. During his journey, Liam began to piece some things together from newly gathered information. A quick reference on a computer and he knew that his hunches were right. Racing back to his apartment he found Deirdre with a young man tied to a chair. She claimed that it was her brother, but Liam called her out on her lies. She didn’t have a brother, and the man down the hall? Her father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Deirdre would visit her father while the nurse was out for groceries and he would later forget that she was there. But one night she slipped and forgot to leave before the full moon. In her wolf form she killed her own father and escaped the apartment by jumping out the window. The bullets were for herself. By changing into her wolf form, she managed to take the bullets from Liam. First she put a bullet in his stomach so he wouldn’t turn like she did, and then she put another bullet in her head.
Liam died that night from the gunshot, but he was brought back to life by Undine as a thank you. He now, in a sense, lives out a shallow version of his life. While no longer dead, he’s not sure that he is grateful for that fact. He has lost any physical sense he once had. He can’t even feel the clothes on his skin. He has no need for food nor water nor sleep. He spends most of his days trying to find purpose in his existence and has become an all-around downer to be around. He has had to become extremely careful about his actions now that his body can no longer heal any wounds, so he mainly sits inside reading The Stranger for the millionth time.
Anything Else:
Liam does not think it’s funny to be called a zombie. He does not want to eat your brains. But he will take any book or movie recommendations you may have.
