Zelia's eyes narrowed with indignation at the boy's statement regarding her scent, but the creature called Izzy caught her attention before she actually said something in return. She instead blinked up at... her... And smiled a smile that looked strained, as most of her expressions did. "It's nice to meet you too, Izzy."
Carl's shiver caused a look of guilt to pass over her, and her tone turned apologetic as she replied, "I'm really, really sorry about.. You know.. Trying to eat you, and everything." Her hand smoothed down the mass of curls on her head sheepishly, causing them to bob slightly when she finished. "I- well, he doesn't.. Usually I kind of don't have a say in what happens." Her mouth turned down and she looked almost accusingly down at the bump of her stomach.

Izzy watches Carl's eye zoom back and forth in fasination. Not everyday you see something like that. talk about having eyes on the back of your head! Izzy shakes her head a little bit, remembering that its rude to stare.
"Hey, Izzy, normally I don't feel like taking a nap when I encounter amazing beings like yourself. Was it somehow your doing?"
Izzy blinks owlishly at the question. "Well i wouldn't call myself amazing" but she nods "Yeah thats was me. Its defense thing. Helps me get away from well, the not so friendly residents. I'm not really quick on my feet. Coordinating 2 extra limbs isn't exactly easy" she turns and glares at the offending appendages.
She turns back and nods to Zelia.
As she's apologizing to Carl, Izzy turns slightly to sneak a peak at Aburn. i wonder what he is... She's curious about the teen who can hold back a hungry vampire.

Aburn watched them with a incredably black eyes he looked at izzy lazily and tilted his head."....hey" he finally said after a long silence, he smelled strongly of dirt and of a fox but it was very musky ,very male like and to some monsters would find that attractive but he shruged her gaze off as nothing. he offered her a small smile and turned his attention away at them and than sighed" as fun as this is i think i am no longer needed". Sounding very bored and irritated he turned to leave.

((Guys, sorry for being extremely and annoyingly inactive! I have no excuse but-my-computer-has-been-broken-and-my-family-has-been-here-to-visit-me-and-I've-had-loads-of-school-work. Sorry.))
Carl frowned, or rather the skin on his forehead wrinkled. A frown without eyebrows was kind of meaningless. He listened to Zelia explaining about her son, or whatever it was. But her apology sounded sincere - he guessed she didn't often have the opportunity to apologize to her (or her sons) victims. "Apology accepted," he said chivalrously. "Although I'd like if you try not to make a habit out of it..." But as he said it, he realized that he probably shouldn't stress that. Zelia had not been in control of herself earlier, and even if she was now he doubted she always would be. Probably she couldn't promise not to attack him the next time they met... and even if she didn't attack him, some other poor bastard would have to pay the prize. He couldn't help but feeling sorry for her, and whoever she'd attack next.
But his somewhat stern expression eased when Izzy said that she wouldn't describe herself as 'amazing' and then explained about her soothing fog. That sounded kind of practical - Izzy didn't strike him as a very viscous being. A smile tugged at his mouth. "Well, I wouldn't call you ordinary. So if someone should bump into you they get lulled to sleep and wake up thinking everything was just a dream? Sounds like a real good defense mechanism if you ask me."
Then he turned towards the teen, who had proclaimed himself to be named Aburn, and now said that it didn't seem as if he was needed there anymore. Carl had mixed feelings about Aburn leaving - he really was thankful, Aburn had saved his life after all, but something about the young man felt unsettling. He was clearly some kind of supernatural being, but it was unclear exactly what he was. Probably not a vampire. "Alright? Well, see you around then."
