She was hurt, badly this time, and it was all his fault. Phil's eyes suddenly brimmed with tears and he choked down a sob - the fear and shame was almost too much to handle. But he forced himself to keep himself together, he could break down when this was over. "O-okay, don't worry... I'll take care of this..." His voice was shaky and not as confident as he'd wished it was, but it was good to hear it out loud. Right. He'd take care of this.
First he had to make sure they were safe. He peeked into the narrow alley where the wolf had withdrawed - he thought he could see it's big furry shape farther in, but it didn't seem to be in the mood for revenge. But they'd better hurry up unless it changed it's mind. He went back to Hailey and kneeled down beside her, forcing himself to try and estimate how grave her wounds were. "I don't know any first aid, but I think we need to get away from here," he said uncertainly. "Can you... can you move?" He really hoped she could. Otherwise he'd no idea how to get away from there - unless he could find and hot-wire a forklift.

Hailey looked at him lazily and nodded and she inched up with a scowl, baring her teeth in pain intill she sat all the way up" ha....ha im ok...im ok". Repeating to him and she held her sides" i...i cant hold this form anymore..." she panted out in frustration"f...find a blanket hurry!". Urged the siren as her skin began to change color to tan.

"A..blanket? Okay!" Phil looked around a bit in the back alley. No sign of any blankets. He was starting to panic when he caught the sight of a couple of white curtains in a window. The rest of the room was dark, and he could just hope that the owner of the apartment was away. Well, desperate times calls for desperate measures.
The window was an easy match for his Pointy Stick. He pulled out the curtains out of the broken window and hurried over with them to Hailey. "Here, I found these!" To Phil's growing list of crimes could now be added breaking-and-not-quite-entering and curtain theft.

Hailey grabed it and put the curtain around her just as she changed back human and she stummbled to the ground with a groan."o...owww....".

A sliver of light began to slice across the night sky.
A surge of energy shot through the wolf, and she gleefully looked at the two humans further up the corridor. Humiliation?! They will pay. The fish thing was down, defenseless and more of a manageable size, and the boy was reasonably stressed enough to still make a nice snack.
Immediately, with a laugh and a snarl, she shot up, arms slightly pinwheeling to regain her balance on her hind legs. Her ribs slowly and audibly cracked into place, and she choked out some old blood as the organs that had been damaged in the fight repaired themselves.
She howled triumphantly as she set off with renewed purpose towards the two teenagers.
But then another audible crack rocked her body - it was painful, this time, and she doubled over with a scream. Her eyes were wide, panicked and confused, and her thoughts were a jumble.
-no police cars. Why aren't there any police cars? Oh, god, who are these guys?! Oh, god, is that guy dead? She's bleeding, why is everyone bleeding? Oh, help.

When Hailey transformed back to normal Phil checked out his own clothes. They were literally in rags -the fabrik was rotten and smelled awful. He grimaced, glad that he didn't got affected by mold. If he had he would probably puke right now. It was still disgusting as hell, though, so he removed his jacket and t-shirt and tossed them into a corner. It was really cold outside - he made an oath to himslef that from now on he would always carry spare clothes with him. The jeans were in bad shape to, but he was not going to run around nude.
Then he saw that Hailey had transformed back to human. She still was in pretty bad shape and fell to the ground. Phil walked up to her and offered his hand to help her up, his worry clearly showing on his face. "C'mon, you can do this! We need to get away before the cops arrive, or -" But then the loud howl cut through the night. Phil turned around, his face turning pale white. But this time his wasn't going to run away or hide behind Hailey.
Shivering all over, both because of the cold and because of his fear, he positioned himself between the beast and Hailey. The Pointy Stick was shaking in his hands, but his fists were clenching around it so hard his knuckles turned white. Aim for the eyes, aim for the eyes, aim for the... But then the werewolf emitted some kind of scream and toppled over, looking almost as surprised as Phil looked. What had happened? Was it still hurt? Phil hoped it was. Or maybe... maybe it was intimidated by him? The thought boosted his self-confidence and he waved with the stick in, what he hoped, was an intimidating manner. "Stay back!" he roared. "I'm warning you, one step closer and I'll put this through your head!" The dramatic effect was a bit spoiled when his voice cracked on the last words.

Hailey panted hard and stood and hugged phil"p...phil......its transforming" she said weakly and her breaths where uneven and shallow she trembled hard she was incredably pale and sickly looking the mold was still in the air and it was festering her wounds.

The wolf snarled, furiously, helplessly. Muscles dwindled, shrank. Fur disintegrated. She finally collapsed in a whining heap.
As the last of the changes slowly melted away, she crouched, her arms wrapped modestly around her front, and spun around - only to find herself face to face with a furious teenage boy, brandishing a very pointed stick.
"Stay back!" he roared. "I'm warning you, one step closer and I'll put this through your head!"
"OH JESUS! NO! NO! NO!" she screamed, equally as loud, backing up frantically.
She scooped up her clothes - most of which were intact enough to be usable; she compensated with leftover rags she found nearby. She coughed and then realized why what she was wearing - "Oh, my GOD. What the hell happened to these?!" It felt like being wrapped in moist cheese.
She surveyed the scene. A fine curtain of mold draped everything around the area. Did the place flood or something? How long was she out, exactly? In front of her were two teenagers - the ferocious boy with the stick, and behind him, another, slightly older blue-haired girl draped in curtains. Then she noticed the blood. And she knew exactly how the blood happened.
She could have said so many things, but none seemed appropriate. She just scrambled to fer feet, speechless, staring.
Finally, she managed to choke out. "I...I'm...We need to help her. We need to get out of here. Could be cops, soon. Other werewolves. Stuff like that."

"OH JESUS! NO! NO! NO!" Phil frowned. He had known that the werewolf was a human, of course... he just hadn't thought so much about it. It had kind of taken pretty much attention to stay alive. But now the wolf was human again - and it was a woman. A very scared woman, apparently. But even though Phil lowered his stick he didn't cease frowning, and when she asked what had happened with her clothes he just glared at her.
Then she looked around, and seemed to be at a loss of words. And then she looked at Hailey. "I...I'm...We need to help her. We need to get out of here. Could be cops, soon. Other werewolves. Stuff like that." Phil's temper flared up again. What, they were just going to forget what had happened just minutes ago? "We don't need your help! Do you really expect us to just run away with you after all that's happened?! What's keeping you from turning back and ripping out our thr-" His hostile debate was cut short as he suddenly heard something. It was far off but was moving closer - the unmistakeable sound of police sirens. And by the sound of it, there were more than just one car. Phil's jaw dropped and he realized that they had to get away from there - fast. Was Hailey in good enough condition to run? He didn't think so, she was pale and shivering. Could they get away in time if just he helped her? Doubtful. He offered Hailey a supporting arm and the werewolf a mistrustful glare. "Okay, we need to get away from here quick and... may need your help. But I'm warning you, if I see so much as a hint of a whisker...!"

Hailey took it slowly and grunted she was getting weaker the longer they stayed there and she panted."p..phil" she whispered and stood trembling hard in pain.

"We don't need your help! Do you really expect us to just run away with you after all that's happened?! What's keeping you from turning back and ripping out our thr-"
"Look, I don't know - I CAN'T know what exactly happened here, but I'm trying to fix things, okay?!" she snapped back. The kid was angry - Laurie didn't blame him, as she most likely just tore up his girlfriend. The kid suddenly stopped mid-sentence, and she quickly realized why as the unmistakable sound of sirens filled the air.
Maybe the cops weren't coming for them? It was a full moon - there were probably werewolves and murderers and Bridgeport's usual slew of beasties lurking around the town, causing trouble. Her hopes were immediately dashed when the cars rounded the corner.
"Besides, it doesn't work that way..." she sighed, as she pulled stray wolf hairs out of her own; they crumbled as she picked at them. The whole place smelled like rotting fish. She looked at the girl again, and a new wave of panic hit - the girl was weak, possibly delirious, and had lost a lot of blood. Crap.
"This is gonna seem rude, but you just saw a werewolf so I'm gonna be blunt - is she human? Do we let them take her - Can she go to a hospital without freaking everyone out? We can't exactly say we just found her this way! And we both look like crap with the mold and sweat and stuff, and I can't even begin to think about how to explain that. I am so, so sorry, too. I don't even know how to begin to fix this, or what to do! "
She took a deep breath, shut her eyes, trying to ease the guilt-ridden panic.
"I suppose if you need it, I have a car, and I live a few blocks that way. So - Any ideas?"

Hailey was getting worse. They couldn't just stand around anymore, so Phil started to walk while still supporting Hailey. Panic filled his stomach and he answered the werewolf's question through clenched teeth. "No she's not. And I'm not, either. I don't think we should go to a hospital, she should be able to stay in this form, but..." He left the last sentence hanging in the air. He didn't have time or energy to explain.
When the woman said that she was sorry and that she didn't know how to begin to fix this he glared at her, not willing to accept her apology just yet. But his facial expression changed when she mentioned that she lived nearby. "You... you do? Quick, help me with her, we need to take her to your place!" He turned against Hailey, trying hard to keep his voice calmer than he felt. "Okay, Hai? You just have to hang in there a little longer, no problemo, right? Right?"
Then loud voices from the alley behind them urged him to go even faster. "Call for an ambulance!" "It's too late, he's got no pulse!" "Quick, does someone know CPR?!" Phil cursed a short but angry tirade, but still made sure to pick up his mold-festered backpack while they scurried past it. He didn't want to leave any more traces than what was necessary.

Hailey panted and nodded weakly and she fell on her knees" let me rest..." she said weakly knowing well enough if she stoped of passed out she would die but at the moment death sounded very good." p..phi...l......i dont feel so good"

Laurie quickly dove to catch Hailey before the girl collapsed completely, chattering mindlessly to ease her own panic and to keep Hailey focused.
“Hailey. Hi. I’m Laurie, and I’m really, really sorry about what happened, and I wish I knew how to fix things. I don’t know what you are or how to fix you up right, but we’re going to my place, okay? And we can figure things out from there. I know people who can fix you up and stuff. But you have to help me –“
She grunted and lifted Hailey up by her arm to support her back and shoulders. As she held Hailey steady, she motioned for Phil to grab her other side – not that he needed anybody to tell him. The grouchy boy clearly would have done anything for the girl.
“- you have to stay awake, okay? Stick around. I want you to stick around. And he really, really wants you to stay with us. And move your feet. One...two…that’s good!”
She’s just drunk. Nothing unusual about this. Just two people…one obviously underage…walking their drunk friend back home early in the morning. Ha-ha. We’re not suspicious at all!
