Combat on this forum has the express intent of being easy. Please follow this simple guide to learn how to fight.
The Roll System
1. When you are posting, you may notice an icon that looks like a dice on the format bar.
2. When you click this icon, it should add the text "dice=10" surrounded by brackets to your posting area.
[dice=10]
3. This means that you are rolling on a 10-Sided Die. Rolls NOT on a 10 sided die will be invalid and ignored.
4. If someone is attacking you, and they roll on a six-sided die, you are welcome to ignore their roll.
5. If for some reason your dice, when added to your post, read "dice=6" then simply change the "6" to a "10" and your safe.
6. When you are attacking someone, or doing something requiring force, or doing anything to someone else that they don't want to do, you need to use the dice.
7. Let's use an example with Triangleman.
Triangleman hates Personman.
Triangleman throws a punch at Personman.
[dice=10]
Personman attempts to dodge.
[dice=10]Personman fails Miserably.
Triangle Wins!
8. As you can see, Triangleman rolled for an attack. In response, Personman rolled to defend from that attack. Triangleman wins that round. You take turns attacking, and battle proceeds in this way.
9. Battle outcomes and consequences are determined by the players. However, unless pre-planned, there is to be NO killing.[rand=665740681504727588588411233704944330286317302909410116983915435396]
